Are you tight on cash flow? If your marketing budget is lean and you’ve been thinking about integrating paid search programs  into your marketing tactics – Google hopes to make it easier for you to get started. To increase customer retention and acquire new customers, the search giant has entered the business credit market, according to recent reports.

In efforts to give small business owners increased access to paid search services, Google plans to offer a limited use Google AdWords credit card. The no-annual-fee credit card will be offered to small business owners at a fixed APR of 8.99%.

Google’s beta test is underway via an ‘invite-only’ platform to a select group of current AdWords customer. If you’re contemplating where to spend the majority of your online ad budget, or need funds to ramp up marketing efforts during peak periods, this may be the perk you’ve been looking for. But keep in mind, outside of the low-interest rate, this is the only perk. In lieu of the fact that Google has no plan of integrating rewards into the offering, you may be better off sticking with lines of credit with a more robust offering.

An additional line of credit is not necessarily a quick operational fix for every entrepreneur, so take caution and gain perspective on your overall financial picture before you jump on the credit bandwagon.

It’s an interesting and surprising move for Google. What do you think? Would you use a Google credit card? Let us know in the comments section below.
