Establishing Credibility

Even though we had officially launched the website, I still faced the challenge of establishing credibility and trust with potential customers. I knew my products were superior quality at an excellent value, but customers were weary of buying from a new company that didn’t have a proven track record. This issue was magnified by the fact that I was running an online store with no physical location.

To demonstrate professionalism, I joined nationally recognized organizations related to my business and placed their badges strategically on the website. I also made customer service the backbone of my business with Sunday-Monday extended operating hours. Customers have access to a company representative via all social mediums, toll free phone numbers, email, and live support chat software built directly into the website.

This investment of time and energy to make sure each and every one of our customers are completely satisfied with their purchase, became the focal point of our marketing campaign. The positive feedback spread like wild fire which led Kitchen Cabinet Kings to become one of the leading online cabinetry distributors in just twelve months.

Timing Will Never Be Perfect

The vision of becoming an entrepreneur was always in my mind, fueling me everyday. For me, the timing was unexpected, but the unexpected way in which things happened gave me the fighter’s spirit necessary to succeed with my own business.

The key to making the successful transition from your 9-to-5 job to business owner is to understand that no one is going to hand you success. You are going to have to step up and take it.
