Hang Up the Phone: Why “No” is Negotiable

I’ve learned the simplest, yet less talked about “je ne sais quoi” associated with getting what you want. It takes one simple skill.

By the end of the call Joe had not only solved my dilemma, but he was enthusiastic about doing it.

How to Turn a “No” into a “Yes”

It’s frustrating when you know that something can be done – and someone refuses to do it.

No one likes being told, “No” especially in business. But if you know that you can – it’s inevitable that you will. It may take new approaches, several attempts or new vendors, but at the end of it all you must resolutely and internally exclaim, “I won’t stop until I get precisely what I want.”

There is unimaginable power in these few words. Not only did I walk away with what I wanted, but it reinforced what I’ve always known – persist, “Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn’t have the power to say yes (Eleanor Roosevelt).”

How do you handle the word “No?” Let me know in the comments section below.
