10 Practical Productivity Apps To Improve Your iPhone Experience

Here’s a list of the most popular and widely used apps that can help improve your productivity, as well as enhance other aspects of your work day.

Today it’s not uncommon to embrace technology to improve all aspects of your workday, from saving time and increasing productivity, to communicating better and working more collaboratively with team members.

There are a multitude of apps available for such activities, and the sheer number of choices can overwhelming. Thankfully, you don’t need to spend countless hours combing through productivity apps (that wouldn’t be very productive, would it?) So, here’s a list of the most popular and widely used apps that can help improve your productivity, as well as enhance other aspects of your work day:

  1. Google Drive

Chances are you are already familiar with some of Google’s apps (there are so many), but if you aren’t already using Google Drive you should. This handy, useful app is similar to Dropbox, but with a bit more functionality than simple storage. Google Drive enables you to easily open, view, edit, save and share files of various types from any mobile device. Others can have access to the same Drive, once authorized, so you can work on documents together with a team, or easily pass documents to other colleagues for review without them worrying about having to download files from their email or be in the office to view a hard copy.

  2. Basecamp

Basecamp has emerged as one of the most popular project management apps on the market. With Basecamp, you can assign projects, add notes, check status updates, list priorities, set deadlines, administer tasks to different team members, and more. Overall, Basecamp provides a great way to manage projects in a time-efficient and more productive manner.

  3. Workflow

Workflow is your personal automation tool, enabling you to drag and drop any combination of actions to create powerful workflows from your iPhone. Workflow enables you to set up automatic actions, such as taking product shots and emailing them to your graphic designer, etc. This can be a great time-saver if there are actions you find yourself performing often. Even if the initial action only takes a few seconds, that can add up to lots of time when repeated constantly.

  4. Evernote Scannable

You might already be familiar with the Evernote app, a powerful workspace productivity app. Now the addition of Scannable moves paper forward. Scan contracts, receipts, business cards, and any paper that comes your way. Save or share documents instantly and move on. Once you capture the image it will be added to the Evernote clipboard. You can also share notes with others, and quickly capture business card information, which is great when networking at trade shows or industry events (in lieu of hauling around a ton of business cards).

  5. 1Password

I’m sure, like most people, you have different passwords for all of your different accounts. Obviously, it can be difficult to remember so many passwords. This is where a password manager comes into play. 1Password creates strong, unique passwords for every site, remembers them all for you, and logs you in with a single tap. Best of all 1Password is free and encrypts your data using authenticated AES 256-bit encryption, auto-lock protects your vault (in case your phone is lost) and offers Touch ID for quick, secure access. It also syncs securely with your other iOS devices, as well as 1Password for Mac, PC, and more.
