A six figure online business isn’t a pipe dream. It’s completely possible to build an online business and have a six figure income from it, but when I speak to entrepreneurs who desire to achieve that I notice that they’re held back by some of their beliefs.
Here’s the five biggest myths I have come across so far:

Myth #1: Forget sleep.
While I’m the first to say you won’t build a six figure business by working 2 hours a week, you don’t however need to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and see sleep as a luxury for those who prefer to collect a check from their employer.
It’s simply not the case. Yes, you have to be willing to put in the work and hours. Yes, you have to be willing to not binge watch Netflix on a regular basis. But you don’t have to go without sleep, stop having a social life or anything else. You have to be willing to make some sacrifices, but you absolutely can get sleep in the process.

Myth #2: Everything needs to be set up.
Believe it or not you don’t have to have every single system set up and a robust website to hit six figures in your online business, it’s absolutely not a requirement.
I have clients who have hit their first six figures without a full website just a simple landing page a couple haven’t even had that! The belief that you can’t reach six figures until you’ve got everything set up and perfect will definitely hold you back. Forget about perfection. Forget about needing every single thing set up before you can go out there and get clients. You’re barking up the wrong tree. Just get started and get out there.

Myth #3: It’s only for coaches.
This is a big one. I’ve heard people say: “You can only make six figures in an online business if you’re working with business owners. For example, if you’re a business coach.” Seriously, if I was given money for every time someone said this I’d be a billionaire.
There are health coaches, personal stylists, online fitness instructors, music coaches, relationship coaches that are all killing it online. They’re making six figures in their online business with ease. You don’t have to be a business coach to make six figures online. You do however have to be good at what you do!

Myth #4: If I can appeal to wealthy customers I’ll be successful.
Rich does not guarantee a sale. An influx of ideal clients or customers that meet certain income demographics doesn’t mean that you’ll have a successful six figure business.
Simply put, just because someone has money doesn’t mean they’ll see value in what you do. And it doesn’t mean they’re going to just throw buy from you for the sake of it. Targeting affluent customers is not a one-size-fits-all strategy and there are no guarantees.

Myth #5: It’ll be quicker if I do it on my own.
No. It won’t. It really won’t. Trying to do everything yourself will not be quicker. In fact, getting help and building a team will actually help you get to where you want to be much quicker. Outsourcing isn’t scary and it isn’t going to hold you back. Instead, it’s going to help you fly.
People are too quick to turn their nose up at the idea of outsourcing because they’re still fooling themselves by thinking they’ll get it done quicker or it isn’t affordable. Outsourcing isn’t expensive. What is expensive is wasting your time and energy trying to get everything done when it could be delegated and done in half the time. Outsourcing is necessary if you want to build a six figure business. That’s a fact!
Ultimately, there’s only one thing that will ever stop you from growing a six figure online business—yourself. Whether that’s because you’re believing any of these myths or because you’re unwilling to change and even maybe unwilling to accept you need some help in making this happen, ultimately you’re the only person who’s ever standing in your way.
