It’s time for you to:
thrive in life
create happy and wonderful experiences
feel care free, however that might look for you
thrive in business so that you feel abundantly fulfilled in every way and grateful for all of your earnings
feel at ease
Why do these things matter? Well it has to do with creativity and inspiration.
When you thrive in life and feel personally satisfied and successful (and you’re not worried about where your next rent or mortgage payment is coming from) then you will think differently.
Now some people have trained themselves to think that money, or abundance, isn’t for them. It’s true. Some people think an abundant life will give them negative experiences, the tax man will come after them, money doesn’t grow on trees and many other ridiculous things.
Hopefully you don’t think that way. Instead, you see that abundance in all areas of your life is a very positive and expansive experience (even if you have not had that experience before).
Shift from survival to thriving
When you have abundance in your life you live without the constraints of fear, stress, worry, and the constant daily reminder that you have to skip on the latte, go dutch on your friend’s birthday dinner and so on. Those limiting and negative feelings can put a huge mental block on your creativity and inspiration.
When you are consumed with thoughts of “just making it” and simply surviving, everything else suffers—including your potential.
Indulge me for a moment. Just think . . . what would your life look like if money was not an issue and you felt abundant in all areas of your life (e.g., emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, etc.). Do you feel that weight lifting off of your shoulders?
You suddenly feel free, happy, giddy and full of inspired thoughts. In that moment, you are your best self; there are no debilitating subconscious weights pressing upon your mind. Financial independence is a wonderful tool that will allow you to travel the world, renovate your home, buy a new home, purchase that car you’ve always wanted, spend time in your own way and more.
Those gloriously free feelings (the very thing that lack and stress take away from you) are creativity boosters. This is why entrepreneurs should aim to thrive.
Feeling abundant in all areas of your life, brings inspiration and creativity. Your mind is free to dream and create.
Mental blocks that resist abundance
So, how can you feel more abundant, specifically when it comes to your finances? Well the answer is uniquely different for everyone.
However, one smart way to usher more abundance into your life is to change your mindset. Start with how you feel about yourself.
Let me explain.
When you are lacking something (e.g., money, relationships, etc.), there is usually two things at play and both are tied to your mindset.
Mindset block #1: The stories we tell ourselves
The first block is what you believe about what you lack. For example, the money story that loops, even if you are not aware of it, in the darkest recesses of your subconscious mind.
Maybe you have never made money, so you don’t know what abundance feels like?
Maybe you think making money is hard?
Maybe you think you can’t have it all?
Maybe you grew up poor and view others with money in a negative light?
Whatever it is, the money story you accept and tell yourself daily is not helpful. Identify how you really feel about money and abundance. Once you understand this, it’s a lot easier to correct negative limiting beliefs.
Mindset block #2: Notions of self value and worth
The second mindset issue that can keep you from financial abundance is all about self worth (i.e., how you feel about yourself.)
How you feel about your worth and value as a person is everything when it comes to your ability to receive abundance in any form. Dig deep and ask yourself, do I feel:
worthy of being able to make more money?
that I deserve to be abundant?
people will judge me if I make more money?
I am a good money manger?
my life would be better if I had more money?
that the idea of having a lot of money makes me nervous?
The answers to these questions will reveal your true mindset, as it pertains to money.
This reveals how “our subconscious beliefs […] often work against us – setting up hidden obstacles in the way of achieving what we consciously ‘think’ we want, and blocking the path to our highest potential (Forbes).”
Creating a new ‘money’ vibration
Your next step is to create a new vibration around money.
“Every repetitive thought or belief has a corresponding neural pathway that in turn affects our emotions which then affects our whole being’s energy and vibration. It is evidenced through science that all things have a vibration frequency that is measurable. For example even the chair that you sit on and all things including your thoughts emit a vibration. Science has brought to light the ability to measure the different frequencies including the frequencies of different thoughts. Interestingly, negative thoughts like anger, worry, fear, scarcity and guilt measure very low on the scale, while positive thoughts like love, forgiveness, abundance thinking yield the highest measurements. Everything we touch or engage in is deeply affected by our vibration (Visualizationworks.com).”
One activity I like to do to increase my money vibration (when I start developing a negative belief pattern around money) is to literally change my money frequency.
Imagine your bank account is like a radio station. If you don’t like the channel you are listening to, change the channel (i.e., actively seek out new thoughts to replace the old ones).
I am not saying money is the answer to happiness, because it’s not. Happiness is a choice. But if you’re ready to thrive, and not just survive, it’s time to free yourself of everything that holds you back. When you do, you will overflow with inspired thoughts and excitement to create your best life. You deserve to feel creative and inspired.
