Going to work every day was much like rushing head first into a mosh pit at a Nine Inch Nails concert — a free-for-all, getting knocked down, getting back up, all while loving every minute of the chaos. Rock bands like Linkin Park, Korn, Pearl Jam, The Deftones, and the Stone Temple Pilots fueled my aggressive nature.
‘In Da Club’ of Entrepreneurship
A little further down the journey, my business was firmly in its summertime; I had learned how to be smart with money. The achievement felt good, and the money did too. For the first time in my life, I didn’t worry about money. I bought flashy things I didn’t need, took crazy vacations, and enjoyed life.
While I still worked extremely hard running a large organization with 80+ employees, I also played hard. Ever since I was a kid, I had wanted a Ferrari, so I bought one. Rap artists like 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, T.I., and Young Jeezy laid down the perfect soundtrack for this phase of my entrepreneurial journey.
