CEO Joy Gendusa Shares Five Ways Healthy Food Improves Employee Productivity and Company Culture

Here are the 5 ways offering your employees better nutrition makes your workforce more productive while improving your company culture.

4. Better Concentration

As well as better eating habits, drinking plenty of water is equally important. Dehydration is a common problem in our world today, even in a developed nation like ours. Sodas and energy drinks have replaced the water our bodies crave.

When someone operates in a state of mild dehydration, on top of not having enough nutrients in their diet, it leaves them feeling “foggy”. They become easily distracted, and have trouble focusing on their tasks. If your office doesn’t have a water cooler, make sure to include one. A well-hydrated and healthy staff will be a concentrated and focused force of productivity.

5. Improved Morale

Staff disputes and division are counter-productive problems, but if your staff is eating well, feeling strong, energetic, and focused, they have a better emotional state, as covered above. Pitching in isn’t inconvenient. Outlooks are more optimistic. It helps create a motivated and cooperative environment in the workplace. This is the recipe for truly special achievements.

Your staff individually and as a whole will be more productive. Your company will see the benefits, and success will only fuel the momentum you have created simply through a focus on healthy eating. Aside form the physical benefits, providing a healthy foods café lets your staff know that you care about them and the benefits of that are hard to describe. My staff knows I care for them and I get that back ten-fold.

These five benefits can help your company achieve its true potential by reaching its utmost production. Not only can you reap the monetary benefits of a healthier workforce, but the benefits of a happier and more cooperative company culture. We are doing it and love the results. Try it for yourself!
