YFS Magazine Business contributors have startup, small business or entrepreneurship experience. We also welcome startup enthusiasts and business leaders with industry-specific expertise.
Guest articles submitted for consideration should be of interest to YFS Magazine readers and meet our Submission Standards.
We like articles that introduce new ideas and advance conversations around topics and trends that engage our readers–think op-ed, tips, strategies, best practices, and tools rather than promotional content. We appreciate lively, polished writing that balances research or knowledge with fun and memorable anecdotes or examples that help illustrate your point of view.
Well-researched, smartly written articles that provoke, inform, and entertain are prioritized. We welcome various writing styles and are particularly drawn to writers with a strong point of view and a high-energy, narrative style.
While we encourage drawing from your own experiences in business to support your ideas, over-the-top self-promotion (of yourself or your company) will prevent us from publishing your article. The same goes for dense jargon and abstract, blanket assertions. We encourage contributors to share specific, actionable advice that entrepreneurs can use to improve themselves and their companies.
