6. Small Business Expo – June 20, 2013 (Dallas, TX)

The Small Business Expo, an annual multi-city B2B trade show, will host entrepreneurs, business professionals and small business enthusiasts that aim to connect with vendors to grow their businesses.

Attendees will have access to business networking events including an Exhibitor Hall with hundreds of exhibitors, workshops and seminars, speed networking, after-party events and more.

7. Tech Cocktail DC Mixer & Startup Showcase – May 15, 2013 (Washington, D.C.)

Tech Cocktail seeks to take the “work” out of networking with their DC Mixer & Startup Showcase, taking place in the nation’s capital. The hottest startups and tech enthusiasts of DC are welcome to attend and mingle over cocktails.

The casual atmosphere aims to ease the tension that comes with pitching and networking, and opens up more opportunities for entrepreneurs. Tech Cocktail holds similar mixers in other big cities across the country, as well as regular related events within DC.

8. Startup Weekend Atlanta – April 12, 2013 (Atlanta, GA)

Often referred to as “54 hours of organized chaos”, Startup Weekend Atlanta will host entrepreneurs, developers, tech enthusiasts and marketers to share their ideas in a creative, hands-on environment.

Aspiring entrepreneurs are welcome to pitch their ideas during open mic pitches on Friday to see if they’re worth pursuing. Over the next two days, teams will build their minimum viable products (MVPs). On the final day of the event, participating teams will present and be critiqued by a panel of business leaders and enthusiasts.

Startup Weekend is a global event series, with multiple events taking place across the world on any given weekend. If you can’t make Atlanta, visit their website to attend the next event in or around your city.

9. The State of NOW (#140conf) – June 18-19, 2013 (New York, NY)

The State of NOW 140 Characters Conference seeks to expose the power the iInternet has both to disrupt and enhance business. The event aims to provide a platform for people to share their experiences and advice on the social web, as it relates to their specific industries.

This year’s conference will focus on the health, wellness, fitness and food field, with doctors and authors that are actively contributing to the field invited to be keynote speakers. The conference is still under development, so check their site regularly for  updates.

10. WBENC National Conference & Business Fair – June 23-27, 2013 (Minneapolis, MN)

This year’s Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) conference will kickoff at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The event aims to expand networking, matchmaking and mentoring opportunities to include WBE to WBE connections as well as a focus on delivering industry expertise and innovation across their constituents and corporate and government members.
