In the ever-changing digital landscape, it was time for a fresh, new look for YFS Magazine.
Just a few years after our last redesign in 2013, as an influential and leading global business media platform, YFS Magazine was ready to take its digital experience to the next level, by creating an even more responsive, streamlined and sleek content discovery experience for our growing and devoted global readership.
This year will see a continuation of our strategy to make YFS Magazine more welcoming.
That includes an updated website, which we soft launched in early February, as well as technology initiatives to enhance our analytics capabilities, personalize the site for users, improve our editorial content, and lift overall brand identity. We’re basically rebuilding the entire product. We have a long and exciting way to go there.
Building off the success of the previous redesign, we were tasked to build a platform that could perform effectively from a content delivery perspective; it also had to remain elegant and sophisticated without sacrificing performance. The result is a smarter, lighter, more fluid and fully responsive site that offers more for our readers.
The new site continues to deliver on the authority and the vision of a glossy print magazine – the startup world’s digital glossy.
Aesthetics evolve. “The shelf life of an aesthetic in today’s highly iterative online reality is hardly ever more than 12 months,” which means we were long overdue.
Our redesigned look is aligned with a cleanliness that has become the new convention for online design, created for easy navigation across mobile devices alongside new analytics technology and advertising solutions for our global advertisers.

Moving forward, YFS Magazine will redouble its efforts in creating unique online content, which I see as crucial to maintaining the magazine’s sensibility.
We will introduce a range of editorial innovations, including a relaunch of our popular weekly roundup of business musings and editor-curated articles of interest from around the web called ‘Curator,’ and more content discovery tools to help our readers access work smart content.
As we continue to grow our network of global business contributors, entrepreneurs and business leaders like you, we aim to provide more value to the standout subject-matter experts and industry thought leaders that provide insider access, provocative insights and fresh perspectives.
From a commercial perspective, the site has also been realigned with more advertising solutions. We will continue to carry standardized ad formats, alongside new formats which will give us greater consistency and allow for greater US and pan-European planning. The data is in the details and over the last several days we’ve witnessed marked improvements in key performance metrics, which is promising.
The release of this new version of YFS Magazine highlights our ambition to produce the highest quality content and to capitalize on the best innovative technologies available, while simultaneously giving our readers and partners a superlative return on their investments of time and resources.
