Emily Lyons is the founder and CEO of Femme Fatale Media, Canada’s leading event staffing and modeling agency. The former nanny turned model and entrepreneur started her event staffing agency with $100 in the bank. Today, Lyons represents the highest calibre event personnel at corporate events and promotions for the world’s top brands. Based in Toronto, her award-winning company boasts a roster of global brands including MTV, Calvin Klein, Warner Bros., Playboy, Sony, Budweiser, Rockstar Energy, Guess Canada and Pandora.

2. Kalisa Martin

In 2014 Kalisa Martin, along with her then-boyfriend turned husband Jeff, left the New York 9-5 city grind to pursue her passion for food, culture and travel. Together, they launched The Runaway Jamaica, a community-oriented luxury bed & breakfast. Since becoming the first and only successfully funded B&B on Kickstarter, they expanded to new destinations around the world. Today as the co-founder of The Runaway Experience, she has built a global travel brand designed to foster cultural discovery through unforgettable dining experiences, personal connections with local communities and meticulously curated adventures. Promise Tangeman-Wurzell is the Founder and Art Director of GO LIVE HQ, a boutique graphic and web design studio for creative businesses. Tangeman is also the co-founder of Designer VACA, a vacation for female graphic designers in Palm Springs. In 2009 she started her own business as a graphic and web designer. In 2012 she expanded her vision for GO LIVE HQ and began hosting in-person events to help creative entrepreneurs by the masses to build, design, and launch their website in two days flat.

4. Nadine Hanafi

Nadine Hanafi, founder and CEO of We Are Visual, is a self-proclaimed presentation nerd (a.k.a. entrepre-nerd who loves presentations). In 2013, Hanafi founded the award-winning presentation design agency, We Are Visual. Along with her team, Nadine has been designing presentations for clients ranging from best-selling authors to Fortune 100 executives and TED speakers. Past clients include marketers, professors, engineers, doctors, startups and professional speakers. Their presentations have generated a combined $30M in revenue for clients, national and international media exposure and new business opportunities. As the founder and CEO #GirlGaze she is on a mission is to support girls behind the camera. The multi-talented entrepreneur believes it is hard for a women who aim to break into the photography industry. As a media maker in front and behind the camera she’s demonstrating the power of the girl gaze and elevating the conversation. Amanda also hosts The Conversation, an interview series and website dedicated to the empowerment of the modern woman.

6. Porsche Cooper

Dallas native turned New Yorker, Porsche Cooper realized her love of colour and makeup as a young girl playing in her mother’s cosmetics. After graduating from college and jetting off to New York, Porsche entered the fashion scene as a makeup artist (MUA) working on collections such as Rodarte, Catherine Malandrino, Proenza Schouler, and Zac Posen for New York Fashion Week. One opportunity led to another, and she found herself immersed in the epicenter of beauty and fashion; working on models and notable faces for runway, photo shoots, music videos, and TV appearances. Designer Carrie Hammer is interested in role models, not runway models. As the visionary social entrepreneur behind the Carrie Hammer brand, a profesional women’s clothing and apparel line she designs work dresses and made-to-measure, custom fashion for the modern professional woman. As the founder and CEO of Creatively Flawless, Meagan’s branding agency for women entrepreneurs and professionals specializes in branding, marketing, advertising, design and coaching. Ward started her company while in college. In addition to Creatively Flawless, Meagan is the founder of women’s empowerment organization, The Powerful Women: Cultivating Women of Excellence. The organization hosts sold-out events including luncheons, workshops and conferences designed to unite women and celebrate womanhood.

Kayla Itsines is an Australian personal trainer, author, and entrepreneur. She is the creator of a series of fitness ebooks titled Bikini Body Guides and a meal-planning and workout app, Sweat with Kayla. Kayla built a fitness community from scratch that now serves 10+ million women around the world. The 25-year-old, from Adelaide, Australia began her journey in 2008, with a personal training course at the Australian Institute of Fitness. After graduation, she took a job at a women’s personal training centre. Realizing where their methods fell short, she soon left to start her own fitness company. As a child Istines said, “I don’t know what I want to be. I just want to help people.” Today, she does just that through her growing fitness empire as she inspires women to be the best they can be.
