Best Success Story:

Fresh Patch was scheduled to be featured on NBC Miami’s morning show. I brought the product and my dog Chloe to share the service with viewers.  I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure how well everything would go over.

As soon as the cameras started rolling, Chloe decided to use the Fresh Patch on live TV.  Everyone at the station, from the camera guys to the producers couldn’t believe the timing!  We have the clip on our website because it is so funny.

Biggest Challenge:

I’m not selling a product that people are already familiar with.

Most people have never heard of Fresh Patch or know that it is possible to get grass delivered for their dogs.  It can be very hard to educate consumers about a product that never existed before.  They have to wrap their heads around it first before they can pull the trigger and buy.

#1 Tip for Entrepreneurs:

Although you feel the need to, you cannot work on your company all of the time.

When I started, I spent every waking hour doing something for the company. If I wasn’t working on the website I was handling calls, returning emails, or dealing with suppliers. You have to make sure you give yourself some downtime or else you will eventually burn out.
