Is Your Mindset Sabotaging Potential Client Relationships?

Starting with the clean slate is the best thing you can offer yourself and your business.

No judgments, no emotional luggage from the past, no self-defeating money story.

I remember when I was at the beginning of my coaching career, and I heard a lot about the power of energy and projection. Although I agreed with the concept of attracting or repelling clients, I wasn’t sure how it would apply to me, my business and my clients.

Mostly, I didn’t know how to fix it.

I wanted clients badly and I was prepared to do anything to get them.

Over the year, I went through major personal transformations and now, in hindsight, I see clearly how I was pushing clients away even though I wanted them so badly.

I was unconsciously, but ruthlessly pushing potential clients away; disqualifying them before they had a chance to say anything.

I did it in my mind and would create all sorts of scenarios.

For example, I would think: “She won’t be able to afford to pay for my services!”
and “She is far ahead of me so she won’t say ‘yes’ to work with me.” Even better, I’d say, “
I don’t feel like talking to anyone today and so on.”

The truth is, we get what we focus on. So I unintentionally created a self-fulfilling prophecy with clients where I would get on a call and they would say exactly what I had imagined before.

These same self-defeating scenarios could be inadvertently keeping you from reaching your business goals too.

Attracting Ideal Clients

Today my story is quite different. I work with women daily, to help them get rid of mental and emotional luggage that keeps them stuck and broke. The goal is to free them from running in a vicious circle of self-fulfilling prophecy.

In fact, this is the first step to creating a successful business and attracting ideal clients.

We can’t expect people to work with us and believe in us if deep down we don’t believe we can help them (and if we don’t believe in ourselves).

We can’t expect people to pay for products and service if deep down we feel the value we create is not worth the price point we expect customers to pay. Neither can we expect people to have confidence in us if we don’t have confidence in ourselves!

Can you really expect someone to be excited to connect and work with you if you’ve already disqualified them in your own mind?

In Business, Mindset is Everything

I encourage you to be more conscious and aware of how your thoughts are impacting your business, for the good and the bad.

Is there a reoccurring theme of negativity, self-doubt, a lack of faith and confidence?

If so, address it at the earliest opportunity to save yourself (and your ideal clients) time and energy.

Get rid of the anything that keeps you stuck and broke.

Creating the right mindset, a healthy and abundant way of thinking, is way more important than first focusing on a glossy company website and a sale page.

Starting with the clean slate is the best thing you can offer yourself and your business.

No judgments, no emotional luggage from the past, no self-defeating money story.

Instead, focus on what you want (and who you want to become). Cultivate a mindset of a successful business leader and founder, one who knows their worth, and who makes their success non-negotiable.
