1. Design a daily routine

The first thing that you will need to do is design a routine for yourself that you can follow from day to day. Doing so will help you focus more intensely on reaching all of the goals that you have set for yourself. If you know exactly what you are going to be doing on Monday, you will also know what to expect.

2. Make sure you get adequate sleep

Your next priority should be to make sure that you get as much sleep as you need. There are some business owners who make it a practice to take a nap during the day. If you don’t feel that such a habit will suit you, there is another way. You need to focus all more intensely on getting the sleep you need at home.

This goal will be most easily reached if you buy a mattress that is suited to your needs. Your best bet may be to purchase a specially designed memory foam mattress. This is a mattress that can quite literally mold itself around your body to enhance your sleep. It’s the best way to wake up refreshed and active.

3. Do all of your hard tasks first

You should always start off your morning by taking care of all of the major tasks. These are the jobs that no one else but the owner of the business is in a position to tackle. Since this is you, it stands to reason that you need to add your personal touch. Getting the hard stuff done first will add to your focus.

When you start off this way, you ensure that your day will be a productive one. This is because you are making sure that the “Priority A-1” tasks are taken care of first of all. The more minor tasks can then be gotten to in the order that they appear. But even if you do nothing else, you took care of the big tasks.

4. Don’t waste your day on social media

Stay as far away from social media as you can. There is nothing here that won’t be waiting for you when you get home. While you are at the office, stay focused on the job. Keep the mindset that you are busy creating while others are merely browsing. Don’t get caught up in distractions that keep you from being creative.

5. Delegate tedious tasks

There will always be a number of tasks to perform that may cause you to grit your teeth. These are the unromantic and frankly tedious jobs that are still very necessary. If you have people working for you, these are exactly the kind of jobs that you should delegate while you focus on the more rewarding work.

6. Don’t waste any of your actions

One of the hardest things for any business owner to learn is how to prioritize their tasks. The key is to only devote effort to tasks that further progress for your company. All other actions should be left for your private time at home. Make sure that everything you do at the office aligns with your business goals.

7. Try to focus extensively on work

Turn off your website notifications. Keep social media off your screen. Turn the lights down so that you can focus totally on your work. You may wish to wear noise cancelling earbuds. Do whatever it takes to deep focus.

8. Make plans for tomorrow

Always have a game plan in mind for the tasks you are going to tackle on the next day. You need to know what is coming next so that you can prepare for it. Map out in advance what your focus will be on certain days of the week. This way, you know exactly what to expect. You can get straight to it with no delays.

9. Keep tabs on your progress

Don’t neglect to keep full tabs on every bit of your progress. Remember that you are working toward a definite goal. To this end, you need to be aware of how close you are getting each and every day. As you progress, don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve a nice reward for working so hard.
