3. Coffee Maker
Caffeinated employees are happy employees. A good majority of people drink coffee — especially to stay focused and alert at work. Having a decent coffee maker and providing coffee and creamer is a relatively inexpensive gesture that can pay off.
Ensure to create simple rules regarding making new coffee, what to do when the pot runs out and how to keep the area clean.
4. Vending Machine
Employees sometimes need a pick-me-up throughout the day. Vending machines often get a bad rap, but they don’t have to be full of unhealthy products. Select a vendor that provides healthy vending options. Also give your team the opportunity to share input about the brands they want and ensure that your office vending machine is stocked regularly.
No one wants to look at excessive blank wall space. Invest in some artwork and photos to brighten up the room. If you’re on a tight budget, take some photos, blow them up and either laminate them or find frames at thrift stores.
Incorporating artwork into your office space provides conversation pieces, character, and depth to a space.
These are just a few simple ways to add charm to your company’s office space or your personal home office without breaking the bank. What other office design tips can improve a company’s work space? Let me know in the comments section below.
