It’s Time To Upgrade Your Money Mindset

Ultimately, money is a tool that is waiting to be used. The real power is inside of you. Use it to create a successful pathway to success.

Let’s face it. We need to talk about money, and 95% of the time that conversation will scare us – even when we are building companies and chasing our dreams. Everything would be so much easier if we didn’t have to think about the price behind every dream or goal. Right?

People often tell me how much they could do if they didn’t need to worry about money. “Everything would be perfect,” they say. But as a money and mindset coach, I see too many broken relationships between mindsets and the way people understand money and the value it brings to their lives.

Your money life doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming. In fact, it should be an area where you have control over the situation, every time.

You are a powerful source with the potential to control your money – even if you feel you’ve lost that power. Follow these five practical tips to reclaim it.

1. Practice intentional gratitude

Do you even know what you have? You have accomplished so much! Give yourself a big Hurra! and be grateful for what you have. It may seem silly, but when you act from a place of gratitude, you teach your mind to appreciate what you have and align yourself to go after your priorities.

2. Set your goals within your soul

Think about the things that make you happy. Think about how you want to build your business and where you want to go with it. Then, set up those meaningful goals. No limitations, no boundaries, dream as wide as you want and let your imagination fly.

3. Identify priorities

If you chase after everything at the same time, you will burn out. In fact, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll fulfill those soul goals –– at all. Take your time to think about what is the most critical goal to tackle now; the one that will bring you a step closer to accomplishing your dreams. I liken it to cooking, when you follow your favorite recipe. There are specific ingredients that will make your recipe turn out just right. So when it’s time to pick them up you grab what you need and leave the rest.

4. Keep yourself accountable

There is no better way to succeed than having others support you. Yes! Talk about how good you feel doing the steps to reach your financial goals. Supportive family and friends are vital elements as you take steps to fix your relationship with money.

5. Be intentional with your words

The way you express yourself and discuss situations and the things you have in life will determine your next right step. Eliminate things that lower your confidence or stand in the way of your ability to meet goals.

Remind yourself that you are the type of person capable of doing whatever you want to do, and ensure your conversations about money reflect what kind of person you want to be.

Did you notice I didn’t mention anything that directly deals with money? Instead, I focused on upgrading your mind. Ultimately, money is a tool that is waiting to be used. The real power is inside of you. Use it to create a successful pathway and don’t let any tool decide how you should use it.
